Name: Noir
Gender: Mare
Age (yr 2): 3
Region: South
Physical Appearance: The mare's frame is deceptively delicate-looking, a speed demon locked inside a porcelain doll. Her profile is deeply dished, with a slight bulge to her forehead. Noir's sky blue eyes are large and round, the long lashes around them making her look a tad foalish. She has a little teacup muzzle with large, seemingly eternally flared nostrils. Her neck is long and prettily arched. Some might compare it to a swan's. Her shoulders are sloping and her withers blend smoothly into her short, muscular back. Her croup is long and level, accentuated by a high-set tail. Though some females will keep growing, Noir seems to have finished out at a petite 14hh. She's clearly of almost pure Arabian descent, but there's a taint somewhere in the line, made obvious by her eyes and coat. The base of it is a rich, unfading blue-black. Her mane is black as well. Her tail is black, of course, with a snowy white streak running down the center. Her head is solid white and white stockings mark her legs up to the knee.
Personality: Noir was always brought up to be as submissive and accommodating as possible. Her homeless sire did not want to have to watch over a mare he couldn't breed, so he wanted her to be as appealing to other stallions as possible. He didn't have to work very hard at it; Noir seems to have been born without the metaphorical spine. She does whatever her master bids her to, setting aside her own wishes and desires. Being given the freedom to do as she pleases only causes her great frustration, as she has never been given total autonomy before. She will cling to any stallion that is willing to boss her around like that, leaving his side only when it is absolutely necessary.
History: Born to a herdless Southern stallion named Reno and a West-born filly, stripped of a name by her captor. The filly had been a one and a half year old at the time of her abduction, going to the birthing grounds with her mother to assist her. Reno waited until the mare was far into labor before beginning his distraction. He pretended to be wounded, crying for help. His distress calls lured the Western filly from her safe haven. When she got close enough, he raped her and dragged her away. Reno kept her constantly on the move and was always at her side, never allowing her out of his site. He was scared that she might defy him and run. When she showed signs of defiance, he beat her, giving no mind to the foal inside. Eventually he broke her spirit, making her as meek and obedient as a dog. When she gave birth, he named the filly Noir, after a mare his father had owned. He was prepared to break Noir as he had her dam, but there was no need. She was seemingly without a will of her own, doing as he bid without question. When she came of age, he began trying to trade her away.
