Name:
Chigger
Gender:
Mare
Age:
5 years old
Region:
Western lands
Physical Appearance:
Chigger comes from a long line
of beautiful and elegant mares. Some of her finer qualities would be her
of beautiful and elegant mares. Some of her finer qualities would be her
frame, her pelt, and her eyes. Her frame is well built on the stocker side but
is still refined. Chigger is a carrier of the frame overo gene which makes her
black and white markings seem jagged, then the normal markings that would just
fade out. These markings make her frame seem more dynamic and draw the eye of
many horses. Due to her being a carrier of the frame overo gene, it has allowed
her to have blue eyes since she has a partial blaze marking on her face that just
barely miss her eye so that the contrast between the blue and the black can be
seen. She has a long mane and tail that are both pitch black.
Personality:
Chigger is definitely alpha female material she is ambitious, determined,
and stubborn. However Chigger does have a softer caring side that she usually
reserves for horses in need or foals. Chigger can be very secretive with her emotions
and her intentions on some matters. However, she is in no way, shape, or form,
a malevolent horse that wants to harm to others.
Ambitious: Chigger has always be amotivated horse, since she grew up in a large herd, she always felt the need tostand out and be different. Some of her plots to become noticed worked, butsome of them got her in trouble. Her ambition went to new heights when shefinally set off to explore the rest of what Geneva valley had to offer. Thoughshe can be very competitive Chigger believes in the saying, “Shine not burn”she may have her ambitions but she would never go out of her way tointentionally hurt another.
Protective: When Chigger is around
her herd or foals she takes on the persona of the protective lead mare that
would stop at nothing to protect her herd from danger. She loves little ones
and hopes to have some of her own someday.
Outspoken: Since Chigger is so dominant
that she rarely does not voice her opinion, being able to make judgement calls
and being able to communicate with other equines is one of Chiggers main
principles that she lives by. There is no point to life if you are not going to
make your mark and have an opinion on it.
History:
Chigger had average
beginnings, she grew out in a large herd and she never really stood out for the
first part of her life. But once she started to mature she found that other
equine were only drawn to her because of her beauty not for any other positive
traits that she possessed. Finally her appetite for adventure and exploration led
her to leave the herd in search of territory to call her own. She had heard of
the mares of the west, and their lifestyle appealed to her a great deal. To
lead to be led was how Chigger wanted to live her life. It was from that point
on that she never answered to anyone but herself, and she most definitely did
not take any direction from any stallion.
