CADENCE
Mare -- South -- 4 Years (ages in autumn; 3 when created) -- Sorraia -- 14hhAPPEARANCECadence has the look of a typical Sorraia. She is rather small, standing at only fourteen hands high, but she is strong. She has good muscling, a narrow chest, powerful legs, and sturdy hooves. Though Cadence is a little on the thin side, and the bones in her hips can be seen in her hindquarters. She has a slender neck and her head is convex, or slightly Roman-nosed. Her coat is short and somewhat scruffy, and is grullo in color, also known as mousey grey or blue dun. She has primitive markings as characteristic of her breed, a dorsal stripe running the length of her spine and faint zebra-barring on her knees and hocks. Her muzzle, ears and legs are dusted with a darker color than the rest of her body, a near black. Her mane and tail are short and thick and a black in color, with a cream color frosting both of them. Her eyes are a dark brown, nearly black color.
PERSONAA rather sorry creature, Cadence isn't much to behold personality-wise. In fact, she's quite dry, often speaking blunt, depressing, pessimistic truths in a sad, monotone voice. Not that she really has much to say anyway. For the most part, Cadence acts as a Southern slave is supposed to. She is quiet, she doesn't speak unless spoken to, and she never complains about the orders she is given. She'll do whatever work you want her to, mostly because she is afraid of being beat if she doesn't. Cadence suffers from what most would call a form of depression. Mentally she is constantly beating herself up. She always feels that she is not worthy of anything and that she deserves to be beat, though she doesn't like it.PASTCadence doesn't have much of a history. She was born in the South and she has been a Southern slave all her life. She doesn't know anything different. When she was young, Cadence was a normal happy foal. But a few good beatings from her father quickly changed that. That was all it took to change her into the silent, depressed mare she is today. Recently she was kicked out of her father's herd and since she has known nothing outer than the life slave, is looking for a new master in the south.
