Rhapsody[/size]
Gender;; Stallion
Age;; 8 years
Region;; East
Breed;; Gypsy Draft Hybrid (Gypsy Vanner, American Cream Draft, Belgian)
Height;; 18hh
Physical Appearance;; Rhapsody is a rare and uniquely colored horse, there is no doubt about that. It's hard to describe what color he is, some would call him a buckskin pearl, others maybe gold champagne or even perlino. Whatever color you call him, Rhapsody is a very handsome horse. Pale, cream colored hues spread across his coat in a tobiano pattern. This stallion is tall and well built, he is sturdy with heavily feathered tree trunks for legs and he is packed with a good amount of muscle. His mane and tail are long and are tri-colored red, cream, and tan. But it is all to good to last. One of his best features, his beautiful baby-blue eyes, have given him a defect. Rhapsody is deaf, he cannot hear a thing.
Personality;; Although Rhapsody is deaf, he has learned to cope with it and he does not consider himself handicapped. In fact, if you didn't know he was, you likely wouldn't even be able to tell that he is deaf. Rhapsody depends on his other senses, his sight mostly, but also scent and touch to understand things around him. He can walk, run, and talk just like any other horse. He has learned to speak by mimicking the mouth movements of others, he reads lips. Rhapsody is a gentle giant, he wouldn't hurt a fly. He is kind and caring and will not turn his back on anyone in need. He is a wise horse who always has advice to give, and he has his way of cheering others up.
History;; Rhapsody's sire was a powerful stallion in the South. But as soon as Rhapsody was born, he could tell something was wrong. The young colt didn't seem to listen to orders, because he couldn't. Realizing that Rhapsody was deaf, his father actually allowed him to be "sold" to the West, where he became a slave. This was where Rhapsody learned to read lips and eventually how to speak. But at first, his owner stuck him on simple jobs, because she thought that he didn't understand. But she didn't really keep him as a laborer, she liked him for a different purpose. He was a handsome and strong young stallion, and the mare who owned him saw him as the ideal sire for her foals. During his time in the West he produced three foals, and only one was partially deaf. He actually didn't mind his time in the West, until a massive storm came and scattered the herd. He couldn't find his owner, or anyone else for that matter. He has no clue what happened to any of them. But after several mouths of wandering he eventually found himself in the East, where he decided to stay.
