Name: Bonita
Gender: Mare
Age (yr 3): Four
Region: Wanderer
Physical Appearance: Bonita is 15.0 Hh but will be 16.0 Hh. She'll reach 16.0 Hh at the age of seven. Bonita is a dunskin but has a washed out coat almost making her look like a buckskin instead of a dunskin. She doesn't have any markings on her except black points on her legs and ears and her eyes are brown. She has a black mane and tail and a dorsal stripe as well. Her face is somewhat darker then the rest of her but not by much. Her coat grows lighter in the winter time. Bonita's mane, tail, and forelock are very long. Her mane comes past her shoulder and her tail touches the ground. Bonita's forelock is a few inches above her nose. Her mane, tail, and forelock are pretty thick and her mane lays on one side instead of having some lay on one side and some on the other side.
Personality: This mare isn't afraid of anyone and is more then willing to give you some lashes with her tongue or legs. She isn't afraid to kick if it comes to it. She can seem dark and cold but underneath all that is a kind mare. She is very sweet and kind once you get to know her but getting past her defensive wall is a hard thing to do. Bonita is very hard to make friends with and it will take awhile before she evens begins to trust you, much less makes friends with you. Her thoughts are very well guarded so it's hard to get a read on her when you see her. She can be very cold and cautious around new animals. Bonita can be loyal once you are friends but you don't want to break her trust. If she doesn't like something you are doing, she's not afraid to tell you. She is very outspoken about things like that. She isn't one to take orders and won't stand for taking orders. If she has to take orders, you can kiss her goodbye because she will leave within a minute.
History: Bonita was born in an Andalusian herd. She was the only foal that born that year but that didn't stop her from having fun. Having no other foals or play mates never deterred her. Sometimes she'd play with her mother or one of the other mares but normally she played by herself. Once in a great while though her father, who was the lead of the herd, would play with her but that was very rare.
When Bonita was two years old her father was challenged by another stallion. This stallion was much more muscular then her father and had more fighting exerience. The new stallion challenged her father to a battle to the death over the land and the mares in the herd.
The two stallions fought and the herd watched anxiously hoping that the lead of their herd would win. However that was not the fate that happened. Her father was killed by the other stallion almost as soon as the fight began. The new stallion took over the herd and his first move was to get rid of all the colts and mares that were related to her father. After that the foals were kicked out including Bonita. She was the last to go but was ran out in the middle of the night. Having never left her father's land before she foolishly followed a herd until she was discovered following them. The stallion ran her off as soon as he found her.
She wandered for a few weeks before she found a land that was unclaimed by any stallion where everyone came. She was safe here. She had no idea what the land was called except that it was in Geneva Valley.
