It was such an incredible pain. Katarina had never fathomed that this sort of hurt even existed in the world. Though deep down, she felt like she had done this to herself. Her pelt clung to her bony frame, making the ridges of each bone stick out from her chest and hips. Her face had sunken in around her eyes, and her knees trembled with each step. And then there was the foal. She was kind of impressed that it had stayed the healthy from her intentional malnutrition. Even the odds had been against her.
The end of her time had come. It felt like someone was stabbing her every few moments, where each one felt worse than the last. She was already weak, and she didn't want Lucifer to see her this vulnerable state, so the fae decided to make the trip by herself, she knew that he would find his foals eventually. He would probably leave her to the wolves after it was all said and done anyways.
The journey was rough. She had to stop every few moments to endure the pain. When the contractions began, she had to lock her shaky knees to make sure she wouldn't topple over. She felt like she had been walking for years, but such relief engulfed every fiber of her being when she was finally able to make it to the birthing quarry. The meadow was beautiful in the fall setting. She understood why mares would come here to have their foals. It was amazing. But her wonder was quickly interrupted by another contraction. The clearing that she stood in was empty, which she was thankful of.
Katarina made her way towards the center of the field. She found an empty spot, and slowly lowered herself to the ground. Only then, did the real pain set in. It was unbearable. She let out an ear piercing shriek as she searched for a rock or something solid for her to hold in her mouth. Something to grit the pain away. She found a suitable stone and rolled it around her mouth with her tongue in an effort to prepare for the next one
The back of her legs felt wet, but she highly doubted it was just water. The mare wanted to die. Then, and there.

LUCIFER
YOU SHOULD BE WALKING AWAY, WALKING AWAY AS FAR AS YOU CAN GO, AS FAST AS YOU CAN His massive figure quickly cantered over the terrain with his head held high in the air. Taking in a deep breath of air as he knew that today was the day. The one day that Lucifer had been waiting for for a long time now. Ready for this foal to come from the first mare he has bred. Gazing all around the place and waiting to see if he could spot the sight of the mare he had been waiting on. Then his eyes saw her figure. Oh yes she was pretty solid and he knew that she was going to be ready. With the way that her stomach hung from her body. He was ever so excited to find out what she was carrying for him. Grinning as he took in a deep breath and walked towards her. His face changing as he watched her fall to the ground slowly and then laid down upon the ground.
"Hello there my dear, Katarina."
He simply said as he motioned his figure towards her with his head held high in the air. Flickering his banner as he reached down and ran his muzzle across her figure slowly and with a twisted smile hidden under his facial expression. Allowing his figure to shift and rest down upon the ground near her. Ready for the little monsters to come into play so that he could have some fun with his little ones and be satisfied with what she will present to him here shortly.

Aquilon hated the birthing grounds with a passion, she was forced to give birth to her two colts around here. Now another brute while on his way to his land dragged the dark bay Morgan mare with him as he knew that Aquilon was a total flight risk. So now Aquilon was right by Lucifer and didn't want nothing to trip this stallion off to where he would want to punish and hurt her. Aquilon then just stood by and wonder just who this other mare was. Whoever she was it seemed like Lucifer knew her well just by the way he layed down beside her and waited. Oh how Aquilon wished stallions could get pregnant and see just how hard it was carrying foals for almost a year. From the way this mare looked this foal was a little too big for her, but the Morgan was hoping that she would birth it without too much trouble. Aquilon just lowered her head and not wanting to be here.

The bay mare heard him speak before she noticed any other clue to his presence. His dark and twisted voice scent a cold chill down her spine as he approached. Though she heard his voice, she didn't grasp his words -which was a very common theme lately-. Evidently she hadn't been sneaky enough, for he had followed her. She wanted to be left alone during this vulnerable moment, but she wouldn't be granted that wish so easily. Inside, she wondered why this fact had surprised her. Katarina should have known better.
She felt his touch, and she immediately shied away. The fae made a noticeable effort to scoot over, but she physically couldn't force herself to move. The mare wasn't satisfied with her display, so she decided to speak up. "Get away from me!" She screamed with her shrill and irritated tone of voice. She was so focused on displaying her feelings toward him, she almost lost the stone out of her mouth.
Katarina had been in the mood to say more to him, but her entire thought was interrupted as a pure and untainted pain consumed her entire being. Her skin was already tight against her frame, but she had long sense been covered with sweat. Her mane stuck to her neck as she lay on the ground panting, trying to control her breathing. It was time, she felt the foal coming. In a sudden jerk, she clenched every muscle in her body. Everything went rigid from her stomach to her legs. She bit down on the stone so hard, she felt it crumbling between her teeth. She didn't breathe through her first push. She was unusually silent. But eventually, she had to stop to inhale. She quickly took a gasp for, but it was immediately lost. She had to scream. Katarina was left breathing in a hysterical and irregular pattern.
She regained her composure to finish, and after a few moments she felt her foal pass completely through. It was a miracle. The mare glanced around the world, as if to make sure it was still there. She was alive. She had made it through the horrendous process of birthing that monster's spawn. But the second of victory was short lived, she had to get to her foal. Katarina attempted to stand up, but quickly underestimated her current condition. After she fell back to the ground, she realized how weak she actually was. But the foal ... it couldn't breathe.
She inched herself around and toward the casing that held her infant. The pools of her own blood alarmed her, but she wasn't going to be chased away. She nipped a hole in the sac, and scanned the foal from within. She took one glance at it and immediately started sobbing. "I'm so sorry." Was all she could get out through her gasps of air. She looked into her daughter's dark brown eyes as they blinked open. It wasn't an apology for Lucifer. She couldn't care less about what he wanted. She was sorry for bringing this filly into the awful world around her ... where females were an object. "My pretty girl ... I'm so sorry." The tears stopped flooding her face, but she was still hysterical. Looking at the foal, it looked scrawny and sick. She was so malnourished, it amazed the fae that she was alive and breathing. How could a foal that felt so large to carry, turn out so small? She began nudging the filly, trying to get her to stand ... and then began trying to stand herself.
But in the middle of her attempt, a pain almost worse than the last forced her back to the ground. Katarina didn't understand! What was happening? She was done. She had her foal, and the mare didn't want another. Katarina froze on the ground, absolute fear sinking into her heart. "Oh my god ..." was all she could get out before her next bout of screaming began.
