As much as he loved his daughters, Deimos had to have alone time every once in a while. There were some things that he just couldn't talk to them about, things that could only be properly mulled over more or less isolated in the wilderness. Nevaeh and Amarna both had offered to come with him, but he politely refused their offers of company. Nym had even tried to tag along, an event roughly as rare as a blue moon, but he gently, as gently as he could manage, turned her down too.
He decided to avoid the rest of the South entirely. As a child he had heard stories of Southern brutality, stallions that kept mares as little more than foal factories and live punching bags. The only thing he had ever seen to even partially contradict that was Maran, and even then he was not the kindest of masters. He had no desire to run across some mare-beater when he was in such a pensive mood. He decided to head east, to the forest.
Deimos didn't even pause to look or to try and camouflage his pearly coat. Even smeared with mud and leaves he would stick out; his size and build were much too distinctive to blend in anywhere. Besides, who was he trying to hide from? He was almost certainly one of the largest horses in the area, possibly the largest. He could wipe the floor with whatever poor schmuck tried to tangle with him. Huffing softly, he began shouldering his way through the forest.
(ooc: again. wow. such bad post. much yuck. so ramble.)

Baby since you been gone i leave the TV on got to hear somebody's voice Daggers drug over the terrain. Mind seemed to be so dead as she wandered forwards. Eyes looking down to a happy little filly who pranced around her figure. Letting off a small smile upon her mug as she watched her for a moment. Taking in a deep breath of air as her figure grew tired and weak. Her body wanting to stumble but she stood tall for the sight of her little youngster. Turning and looking over towards Zeven as she ran over towards Zilla with a smile upon her mug. "Mama, can we stop here and you rest and I can play? It's wide open! You can see me all around the place." She said as she pranced all around Zilla's figure. Not realizing that where she was at was the sight of another equine around her and a stallion at that.
"Okay, Zeven, we will stop here and you can play around in the tall grass. Just do not get out of my sight."
She said as she allowed her figure to halt and look at Zeven with a soft smile. Feeling the touch of her muzzle under her body and nursing at her figure before she shot from under Zilla and took off playing around. That is when Zilla slowly made her way to her body was on the ground. Taking in a deep breath before her eyes wanted to close tight. Then her eyes shot open as she watched Zeven halt and slowly back up. Turning and running over towards Zilla. That is when Zilla popped up off of the ground and glared at the figure.
"Show yourself! Get out of the shadows."
She snapped as she could feel Zeven's small figure tribbling under her figure. Wanting this equine to go away and leave them, but she was unsure if Viggen had sent this equine out to scout on her or what. She was going to stand her ground though and make sure no harm came to her little one. tagged | Dornish//Deimos:: music | none tmade by abby of i'm so curious |

Deimos noticed that the trees seemed to be thinning the further in he went. Eventually they disappeared entirely, becoming an open clearing. He paused on the edge of the woods, narrowing his pearly gray eyes against the sunlight. There weren't any clouds, so it came down essentially unfiltered, warming the air and bathing the grass and wildflowers in buttery yellow light. As pretty as it might be, it meant he would probably have to circle around it to continue his walk. His pink skin was prone to sunburn. Even during the short time it would take for him to cross the meadow it was possible that he might begin to burn. He closed his eyes and sighed through his nose.
The sound of hoofbeats hit his ears and he jerked back to attention. His head snapped up and his eyes opened wide. A mare and foal had entered the clearing. The pair exchanged words. Deimos couldn't make out what exactly it was, though he assumed it was probably permission for the filly to go and play. The mare slowly laid down while her child - he assumed them dam and daughter from their resemblance - shot off. Deimos panicked when he realized that she was barreling straight toward him. He stiffened, one gigantic hoof raised. He knew that he needed to move but he just couldn't force himself to. The filly seemed to spot him. She stopped for a second to stare, and Deimos was suddenly very aware of the blood and ooze seeping from his burns. Probably not the best thing to show such a small child. The little girl did an about face and scrambling back toward her dam. Said mare stood, already in mama bear mode.
"Show yourself! Get out of the shadows."
She barked the command as if she were used to authority. Fabulous. A Westerner. He didn't bear the same animosity toward them as many members of his region did, but Deimos had many unpleasant memories of Maran's clashes with them. It had never ended well, no matter what either side tried. He debated simply turning and running for a moment but decided against it. What exactly was a nursing mare going to do to him that wouldn't put her child in danger?
"I'd rather not; I tend to roast in direct sunlight, and I don't think you'd be willing to rub aloe on my burns."

Baby since you been gone i leave the TV on got to hear somebody's voice Zeven continued to hide behind her mother's figure. Unsure of just whether this stallion was like the equines she was stuck living with or if this stallion was kind and nice like Levi was towards her. Though of course Zilla stood her ground. Watching the stallion carefully with thorns pinned on her skull. Almost trying not to laugh with the words that he had sent into her direction. Snorting lightly as she shook her head to remove the pest from her skull.
"I'm guessing Viggen sent you to make sure I don't run away."
She said with a loudness of her voice. Holding herself up the best her figure would allow her to do so. Shifting her weight forwards to the stallion. Allowing her massive figure to circle the stag for a moment. Feeling little Zeven on the opposite side of her. Lightly bumping her with her nose as they walked and then halted back in front of him. Shifting as she knew that Zeven would be hungry soon, but she had to be able to react if this stallion was going to do something stupid, but then she felt little Zeven coming up beside her and looking at the stallion.
"What you wantz?"
She asked as she looked at the stallion stallion. Her figure wanting her to hide but of course she kept her eyes on the stallion and up to her mother every now and again. tagged | Dornish//Deimos:: music | none tmade by abby of i'm so curious |
