INUYASHA -- east stalliontags ;; West etc ;; Inuyasha was very unsure of what the day was going to bring him. With his eyes already fallen upon the sight of one equine, but of course he was back out again. His daggers slicing into the terrain as he cantered through the different colored leaves that danced down to the terrain. Mind running from one place to another as this icy stag shifted his weight to a sliding halt.
Eyes dancing around before he shifted forwards and began to drink from a small stream that he had found. Feeling the coolness of the water fall back down his throat. His mind wandering from place to place. Releasing some air his nares as he lifted his head up and felt the water dripping down his face. Sighin as he turned and motioned his figure over into the shadows. Removing himself from the light as he waited to see just who might take the chance to approach him.

Nevaeh relished every moment she got away from the rest of her family. The young mare adored them all, but being around them constantly was a drain. There was only so much listening one could do before the urge to explode and snap at someone like Amarna became too much. (She would never, could never, snap at Nym. Her youngest sister was even quieter than she was, and the near-white mare treasured every word she spoke.) She had been tempted to leave without saying anything to anyone, but that would have been a horrible thing to do to her father. The poor stallion was so, so afraid for all three of them, this autumn being their first season. He knew that they could defend themselves and had taught them to fight himself, had seen what they - what she in particular - could do when attacked. It did nothing to calm his fears, however. At first Deimos had been reluctant to allow her to leave, but she had weaseled permission out of him by promising to not go too far away.
Her definition of 'not-too-far-away' was a trip to Freeflower Forest. Her mother, Heaven, had spoken often of the place and the various fruits and, of course, flowers that it produced. Few of them had any medicinal uses, though the scents and tastes could be used to soothe a patient or make a mixture more palatable. Nevaeh had never visited it before. Heaven had promised to take her someday, but she was always either busy with a patient or experiment or Maran wouldn't give them permission to leave the territory. She wished that she could have come here earlier in the year, her dam at her side, but she hadn't seen the other mare since Spring.
Thirsty from her walk, she stopped at the first stream she found. Halfway to the water she paused, pale eyes focusing on a movement in the shadows across the way. She raised her head, narrowing her eyes and pricking her ears. Clearing her throat, she said, "You... there!" Gods, talking was awkward. She wished she didn't have to speak, that she could just beam her feelings and intentions straight into others' heads. Her family understood and accepted her silence, quietly preferring it to her bizarre speech, but strangers could not be expected to tolerate a silent giant. "Friend or foe?" That... That was probably not what she should have said. It made her sound paranoid and hostile. She bit her lip, looking both embarrassed about the question and anxious about the answer.

INUYASHA -- east stalliontags ;; West etc ;; His mind remained clear as he closed his eyes. Ignoring the sound of hooves that were approaching where he stood. Eyes opening slowly as he heard the sound of the equine pointing him out with where he stood. Flickering his thorns forwards as he moved himself forwards and looked at the creature before him. "Don't get your tail in a not. Your acting like I am going to come out and hurt you. I'm just standing here minding my own." He said as he looked at the mare with a bit of an odd look on his face as he gazed at her.
Thorns taking in the words that she was asking him. Making him tilt his skull just ever so slightly with the strange question she had aked him. Seeing whether he was a friend or foe, but how was he to answer such a question. It was like she thought he was going to harm her, but all he was doing was standing there. Soaking in the coolness of the shade.
"I guess you could say I am a friend?." He said in almost a questioning way since he was unsure of just how to answer her. He never got asked that question before in his life. Shifting his weight as he gazed at her and then around at the terrain that was around them. "Is someone after you or something? You seem jumpy about something."

"Don't get your tail in a not. Your acting like I am going to come out and hurt you. I'm just standing here minding my own."
Oh, no. That must not have been the appropriate response. He seemed rather annoyed by it, enough so to reprimand her about 'getting her tail in a knot.' Worried that the length of inky black had actually developed a knot, she took a quick look at it. No. It was just as straight and without kinks as it had been the last time that she had looked at it. How odd that he would say such a thing without it being true. Nevaeh returned her icy gray stare to the strange stallion, eyes narrowed ever so slightly. As a mare who enjoyed knowing things, she valued truth more than the average equine. That he appeared to possibly be a liar instantly made the young mare wary of him.
"I guess you could say I am a friend.? Is someone after you or something? You seem jumpy about something."
"Not that I am aware of," she responded, blinking. "I am simply unfamiliar with these surroundings. It is best to approach unfamiliar equines with caution in such situations." As odd as her behavior might sound to him, it seemed perfectly logical to Nevaeh.

INUYASHA -- east stalliontags ;; West etc ;; Inuyasha could not see what he had just witnessed. Watching as her head had turned and actually did look at her tail. Like she was definitely one of those horses that had to make sure that nothing was going wrong even though he did kind of find her actions a bit funny with what she had gone and done. Then watching as she seemed to stare deep down into his soul. Watching as her eyes seemed to narrow slowly towards him. He brushed it off when she began to speak towards him. Nodding his head slightly as he gazed at her and then out around the terrain.
"Well, that is a good way to put it. I'm just not use to this part of Geneva Valley. It is very new to me. I'm use to the mountains and very tight wood lands that are a bit worse than this." He said as he nodded his head out to the surroundings. He was just use to the unmarked part of this plant. The part where their were more dangers than where they were now. Taking in a sigh as he closed his eyes and gazed back over towards the mare with thorns perked. "The name is Inuyasha by the way." He said simply not asking for her name or anything else at that manner. He figured he would share his name so that this mare would ease up and just relax for once.
