AZURA It had been difficult to sneak out surrounded by other mares, but she wouldn't be caught dead in Hidden Oasis when the time came. Viggen would have sent another mare to escort her to the Quarry, or, she thought with a shudder, come himself, should he have found out that the foal was coming. She had made sure to sleep on the very edge of the group, nearest the cliffside exit. That no one had protested about her choice of sleeping location or tried to move her closer to the others was shocking; the brindled mare chalked it up to them growing complacent with her new, more submissive attitude. As she lied there, waiting for the others to fall asleep, she prayed for the first time since she left home. Azura wished that she had something to offer, to apologize to her gods for neglecting them, but resolved to sacrifice some great beast to them when she was free. She prayed to every Daedra she thought might help her: to Azura, for whom she was named, Boethiah, Nocturnal, Mephala. The princes of murder, deceit, secrets, lies, and the night. She asked them to help her move swiftly and silently, to give her the strength to kill those who might seek to stop her. Azura fully intended to end anyone who sought to keep her here; she couldn't bear another moment here.
That she had also not woken anyone on her way out was a shock. Azura hadn't made any noises loud enough to wake them, but the fear that one would wake and sound the alarm had haunted her the entire, agonizing time. When she'd reached the top of the cliff, she had stopped for a moment to catch her breath, watching for any potential issues. A few of them - she'd never bothered to learn the others' names, save for Zilla's - had shifted in their slumber. However, none of them had been conscious enough to look up toward her. Even if they had, it would be impossible for them to discern her identity. From such a distance she could easily be mistaken for one of their masters.
Azura had left her 'home' when the moon was still high in the sky, surrounded by stars. It was still so by the time she crossed into the East. She had no idea how much time had actually passed, but, to her trembling muscles and pounding heart, it felt like only seconds. She had tried to keep an even, quiet pace as she was leaving Hidden Oasis but she couldn't. She had panicked and broken into a gallop, going so fast that she was afraid she would fall and shatter every bone in her body. The young mare despised that she had allowed Viggen and Niacin to get so deep under her skin, filling her brain with fear and paranoia. Toxic shame crept into her system as she stopped a few feet into the forest. Her head drooped, sides heaving. The sweat on her gleamed in the dappled moonlight, speckling her coat like a fawn's. Her sudden break must have agitated the foal. She jumped and winced as it moved inside of her, a tiny hoof kicking her. She'd never been pregnant before, never heard another mare talk about it, but something about that movement seemed important, a little warning flag.

Baby since you been gone i leave the TV on got to hear somebody's voice Her figure moved over the terrain at a trot as her little one followed right in tow. Eyes darting all around as she made sure that no creature dared to come over to both her and her little baby that she had. Snorting at the thought of some stallion coming up and attempting to take the little one that she had. Yes, she would still fight if needed since she did have her full energy back. She had gotten use to having a foal around her and now she would continue on the path she was going on before. Wanting little Zeven to learn that mares are not low in the ranks.
Her figure halting when she saw the sight of another equine that she had met before. Flipping through her mind to try and remember just who it was again that stood before her. Then it had hit her. It was Azura, the other fighting mare that bruised up Viggen. Her figure walking over towards her as she could see that she was hurting due to the fact she was also in foal. With Viggen going breeding mares for foals and then treating them like crap was ridiculous. Snorting loudly as she shook her head and halted when she was close to her.
"Lay down, Azura. You have run to hard with that little one inside of you dear." She said softly as she could feel little Zeven coming around and nursing upon her figure. A smile planted upon Zilla's face as she looked back to check on her and then looked back to Azura. "Rest is what you need right now even though Viggen doesn't help the fact he needs to ease up on the pregnant mares." Words were soft as she could feel Zeven stop nursing and sliding between her front pillars.
"Anuffer babyz comin'." Zeven said in a happy tone as she trotted over to the other mare with a smile upon her face as she touched her velvet nares gently upon Azura's side. Shifting as she turned and trotted back over to Zilla. "Can I pway wif da baby when it herez?" She asked in a baby like talk as she looked up to her mother. An Zilla gave her a soft smile as she looked from Azura and then down to Zeven. "Baby, we will say okay? One thing at a time." She said with a soft smile as she saw Zeven go back over to the other mare with a smile upon her face as she gazed up towards her. tagged | Dornish//azura :: music | none tmade by abby of i'm so curious |

The sound of hooves set her near-calmed heart back to pounding, fit to burst. A wide ring of vivid white appeared around her irises, making the warm hazel color appear almost black. Her body shook visibly, stuck in between the desire to flee and a heavy dose of paralyzing fear. The most movement she could manage was jerking her head to either side, ears flicking and eyes rolling in panic. It was so dark in the woods that she couldn't see them. She couldn't even make out an outline. Oh, by the Daedra. What if it was Viggen or Niacin or one of their little lapdog mares? What if she hadn't been as careful as she thought? Maybe one of them had been awake and saw her and reported her or had decided to go after her themselves. They were going to drag her back there, back to that horrible place, and make her live there and have their horrible, horrible little foals. They would raise her daughters, her precious heirs, as whores and slaves, take their rights from them and make them pawns, treat them like property. Her sons, her poor, innocent, brainless little boys would be raised like them, raised to beat and rape and take everything good and trample it into the dust. Her shaking grew worse and tears welled up in her eyes, spilling down her cheeks. She closed her eyes and gritted her teeth, trying to hold back a sob and failing miserably. Her head fell. Daedra, what have they done to me?
A sudden pain seized her insides, clenching them in its fist and twisting them. Her teeth clenched tighter, muffling a cry of pain. Azura was conscious enough of the rest of her body to notice the feeling of liquid gushing out of her. "Daedra, no, no, no..." Azura was unsure if what she heard had been thought or spoken. All that she could think of was the filly, being born here of all places. The East may have been a good distance from Hidden Oasis, but it wasn't safe. They could still get to her here. They could track her here and take her baby and drag them both back there, kicking and screaming. Azura would kill herself and the foal before she allowed that to happen. She refused to let those sick, twisted monsters corrupt her offspring and force her into servitude. She wouldn't. She couldn't.
"Lay down, Azura. You have run to hard with that little one inside of you dear."
She only half recognized the voice in the midst of her breakdown. It was... It was one of the other mares. The one that had been taken around the same time she was. Her name, what was her name...? Zilla... Zilla! Nocturnal must have been listening to her; somewhere in the back of her mind, she wondered what kind of payment she would have to make to repay the Daedric Prince for this blessing. An image of Viggen flashed into her mind, almost unbidden, as if the Daedra were making a suggestion. Her eyes, still weeping, rose to meet the other mare's. She glimpsed a foal on the edge of her vision but did not consciously comprehend the sight.
Rest is what you need right now even though Viggen doesn't help the fact he needs to ease up on the pregnant mares."
"Can't... Can't rest... Can't stop... They're, oh gods, Zilla... they're going to find me," she rambled desperately, tears still streaming down her cheeks. Zilla didn't understand. She couldn't stop, not until she got to the Quarry. That was the only place she could ever be safe. "Zilla, they'll take me and the baby and they'll... they'll take us back. I can't go back, I can't, I can't, I can't. I'd rather DIE than go back there and let them hurt us!" Her voice grew shrill, her inner panic seeping into the words. Her voice was probably scaring the other little foal, but she couldn't stop
"Anuffer babyz comin'." She saw the filly come toward her, felt the velvety, whiskery little muzzle brush her side. Her own filly seemed to stir in response to the contact, though she didn't kick again. Azura had to fight the urge to hold the tiny roan to her chest and shield her. She had to be Viggen's spawn, and in Azura's mind that seemed a death sentence to a little girl. "Can I pway wif da baby when it herez?"
"Baby, we will say okay? One thing at a time."
Azura heard them talk, tried to open her mouth and respond as if she didn't feel like everything inside and out of her was being ripped and shaken apart. Somewhere between her brain and mouth her words changed, twisted into an ugly cry of pain. There was that pain again, tugging and pulling at her insides like a cruel foal at a butterfly's wings. Her knees shook and threatened to buckle under her. "Help... please... I'm so scared..."

Baby since you been gone i leave the TV on got to hear somebody's voice She looked at the mare with calm eyes and feeling the touch of Zeven against her pillars as she looked down at her for a moment and then looked up to Azura. "Hun you can rest. We will make it to the Quarry soon enough. You are getting all worked up. There are not going to harm you or your unborn child." She said softly as she walked over towards the mare with slow steps. Giving her a soft reassuring touch upon her pelt gently.
Shifting as she looked back to her little one who decided to lay down and rest for the moment they were there. "Azura. We have to come up with a plan to get out of here. Levi and I have been trying to figure things out of how we can get out of this place. Our best bet would be to stand together and fight for our rights again." Shifting her weight as she moved over towards were Zeven laid at.
Eyes gazing down to her little one for a moment. Thinking of just what life she would have if they stayed at Hidden Oasis. Sighing as she turned and looked back up towards Azura. "These two might be Viggen's foals, but we have to get them out before their older. Find yourself a good stallion who will help protect you and be a father figure to your little one that is better than Viggen." Pausing her terms to look down to make sure that Zeven was asleep before these next group of words came from her mug.
Reaching down slowly and touching her to see that she did not open her eyes and look up at her. So Zilla listed her head back up and gazed over towards Azura. "Zeven already thinks that Levi is her father. Only because he did not appraoch her like Viggen did. He had called her a. . ." Her words hesitated as she looked down to the ground and then to her little one. " He called her worthless only because she is a girl. Its so heart breaking and we have to get these two out of this place now. We have to stand up and fight. We are western mares. We have to keep out fighting spirit." She said as she looked at Azura lifting her skull up and wanting to stamp the ground with her hoof print, but she didn't. tagged | Dornish//azura :: music | none tmade by abby of i'm so curious |

"Hun you can rest. We will make it to the Quarry soon enough. You are getting all worked up. There are not going to harm you or your unborn child." She followed the words with a reassuring touch, and it took everything Azura had to keep from curling up against the other mare as if she were her mother. Azura craved any touch, any physical contact, to have something warm against her that wasn't immediately followed by pain and blood and bruises. She didn't reply directly. She just stood there, head low and eyes downcast. "A little girl... You know he'd hurt a little girl..." she murmured quietly, trying to return her breathing to normal. Her stare flickered toward the filly, watching as she laid down. She hoped, prayed for a little girl, one so perfect and healthy and beautiful as her's. Azura wasn't quite sure what she would do with a son, if he was crippled or sickly or, Daedra forbid, came out looking like his sire. She didn't want to think about it. Not now. It was too late to worry about that sort of thing.
"Azura. We have to come up with a plan to get out of here. Levi and I have been trying to figure things out of how we can get out of this place. Our best bet would be to stand together and fight for our rights again."
The brindled champagne shook her head, not looking away from the other mare's child. The sight of the filly was oddly soothing. Even with the possibility of war looming, the little girl found time to rest and relax, seemingly oblivious to the conflict. "We... the three of us... can't do it alone. You know Viggen won't do the honorable thing and fight one-on-one. He'll drag... He'll drag Niacin into it, and we've both seen what he can do. We need... someone to help us." There had to be other equines out there that would be just as happy as they would be to see the monsters of Hidden Oasis brought down.
"These two might be Viggen's foals, but we have to get them out before their older. Find yourself a good stallion who will help protect you and be a father figure to your little one that is better than Viggen."
Azura spoke softly. "Not everyone has a Leviathan, Zilla."
"Zeven already thinks that Levi is her father. Only because he did not appraoch her like Viggen did. He had called her a. . ."
Azura cocked her head, ears pricked. She had heard most of the names Viggen typically called mares. They had hurt her, but she was old enough to understand what they meant. A filly Zeven's age probably wouldn't have understood whatever nasty term her sire had applied to her unless Zilla explained it; Azura doubted the other mare would do such a thing.
"He called her worthless only because she is a girl. Its so heart breaking and we have to get these two out of this place now. We have to stand up and fight. We are western mares. We have to keep out fighting spirit."
Every equine had some sort of worth, even slaves. They could be bred to produce more slaves, used to clear the land, to send messages, to watch foals, to test if some new plant was poisonous or not. If you were particularly sick, you could command them to fight each other or take your anger out on them after a particularly stressful day. To call someone worthless was to imply that they had no use at all, that they weren't even good enough to use as a living punching bag. Her muscles grew tense and she began to shake again, biting down on the inside of her cheek to keep from spewing profanities. "We... We will not just fight him. He must die. I would see him made a sacrifice."
