He was weak as he stood in one place. His vision spun as he tried to search for a clear view of the world. He lost track of the amount of days had went by since he last ate. They were preparing to give him away, and due to a poor track record, they didn't want him to be a flight risk. On top of the lack of nourishment, his front legs were hobbled together. His fetlocks were rubbed raw where the bindings had previously rubbed the fur away. They must be really afraid that he would try and run ... or fight. To be honest, he probably would have.
Not in this state though. He looked to his sides to see who stood with him. He thought he saw two different mares, but he wasn't exactly sure of anything at the moment. One thing he did know was his head hurt from his poor vision. If he could just close his eyes and rest a little, everything might be okay ...
"Stay awake!" One of the mares had jabbed him in the side. He was caught off guard, and wasn't able to catch himself -considering his forelegs were tethered together-. He hit the ground hard enough to make dust clouds manifest around him. As he heard laughter around him, he knew that it wasn't in him to attempt to stand up just yet. He would just stay down with the dirt. It was where he belonged.
Oh how badly he wanted to die. Just then in there. What he would give to not ever have to stand up again. At least they were letting him lay on the ground. That did actually improve his mood a little. But he would be ordered to stand eventually. It was just a matter of time.

And I'm not afraid of anyone I am sure to win with anyone at all I'm not afraid of anyone Not a soul alive can get behind this wall So let them call And watch them fall ‘Cause after all I'm not afraid She had been the leader so long. Long enough for one Beta Mare to come and go. Too long without any stallions. She had managed to trick a few, but they always left before she could get any real work out of them. She had decided this was her last voyage. If this didn't work she was going to see if any other western Mares needed help with their herds. She had heard that one was growing in size quickly. The mare had just claimed a land and she already had two. Riha was jealous, but yet happy for the mare. She made it to the grounds and didn't see anyone of interest. She watched the leaves fall from the trees and was about to leave when she spotted two mares leading in a stallion that was in bad shape. He looked starved and beaten. She knew this was a Western stallion. She didn't agree with the way the mares were treating him, unless of course they had a good reason, but this could be her ticket to creating a herd. She waited until they were in the land, not wanting to seem too eager. She watched as he fell. He stayed down and the mares didn't seem to mind. She put an expression of slight interest that would tell the mares she was interested, but had no problem walking away. That was a lie, but they didn't need to know that. Hello ladies. Are you looking to get rid of some filth? She barely sent a glance at the stallion. She would get plenty of time to look him over when they got home.

The older mare perked her ears up when she saw a potentially interested fae approach. The words she said was rewarded with a chuckle and a confirmation "You got that right! This one has been forgiven too many times to suite our leader. He has made an attempt to escape twice now. Fortunately he's slow. We were actually expecting him to try something on the way here, so we started preparing for our /journey/ a few days in advance." Her words were light, but they carried a heavy meaning. She didn't want to describe their methods, for they were trade secrets. But it was quite obvious if one cared enough to look at the stag that lay before them. Their was a slight pause in their conversation, but it didn't last long before the younger mare decided to throw in her two cents. "We actually ambushed his patrol party at the edge of his old territory. He was the last one standing, so we decided to take him in as our ... prisoner of war." She finished her statement with a curt nod.

And I'm not afraid of anyone I am sure to win with anyone at all I'm not afraid of anyone Not a soul alive can get behind this wall So let them call And watch them fall ‘Cause after all I'm not afraid One of the mares quickly answered back. They were interested in getting him off of their hands. If they described him right that means me would be a handful. She believed she could do it. She would only have him so she could focus on him and only him for awhile. The other mare quickly added in a bit of his history. It seemed he was part of a Southern herd long ago. That meant he would be harder to break. She could do this, she could do this. With a slight nod she glanced at him. He's in pretty rough shape, but I'm willing to take him off of your hands. She hoped she wouldn't have to give something to them in return. She didn't have anything for them. If they demanded something it would turn into a fight. She waited for their answer before jumping to too many conclusions.

The older mare looked down at the stallion at her hooves. His front legs were still tethered together with binds, so she knew that this mare could at least get him home. She was only debating on if she should escort them or not, to ensure that they made it home without any ... troubles. Eventually she looked up to her traveling companion -the younger mare- and decided that it wasn't her problem. If she had been alone, she probably would have chosen otherwise. But she had another member of her herd that she couldn't risk endangering. She slowly started to nod.
"In this case, it's for the better. Trust me. Especially if you are by yourself, you may want to be careful. And keep your eyes open. He's caused my herd enough grief." As she prepared to say her good byes, she wondered how long this mare would have control over the stag she was taking on. But again, it wasn't her problem. It wasn't her place to worry about it. "Goodbye, and good luck." She said as she dipped her head in farewell. The younger mare mimicked her and they both left the meadow to return back towards their western herd.
Dimka picked up his head to see them off. Good riddance, but now he had a new authority figure in his life. Just like an item at a trading post, he was swapped for better things. He wondered if this was how the rest of his life was going to be. He doubted there would be a huge change in procedure with each passing herd. Hopefully he could find a week leader, one he could escape from. That would be the ideal.

And I'm not afraid of anyone I am sure to win with anyone at all I'm not afraid of anyone Not a soul alive can get behind this wall So let them call And watch them fall ‘Cause after all I'm not afraid One of the mares paused and looked at her companion. Riha had no clue what was going through her head, but just stood and tried to look like a leader. She hoped she looked tough, someone no one would want to cross. The mare started to speak. She didn't ask for anyone, but gave her the stallion. Riha didn't relax from the possibility of a fight until the mares turned and left. She just got a stallion for free pretty easily. It made her a little nervous, but her happiness was masking that. She walked around the stallion to look at him closer. He had scars covering his body. The material that kept him from running had made the hair on his legs almost rub off, but didn't cut into his skin. She wondered what it was made out of. Probably some sort of sturdy vine. She hoped she wouldn't have to use something like that, but she would find material to use just in case. She made it back to his head. I will allow you to rest and eat just a little before we head out to my land. I don't want you collapsing before we get there. She didn't want him to gain all of his strength back, but he did need enough to get home. She would break him. She would.

It probably would have been better if he chose not to speak at all, but the fire that burned from inside his form -no matter how dim it may be- urged him in a different direction. "Oh, how gracious of you." The words that he spoke were flat and laced with sarcasm. Dimka wanted to make it seem as if he could do without her offer, but he knew better. And he was sure that this mare knew better as well. He didn't take her for an idiot.
He made an awkward attempt to stand. It was difficult to maneuver with his front hooves side by side, but he managed. The stag hobbled to a more grassy patch, careful to not make eye contact with his new detainer. His stomach groaned from inside his ribs, making his situation more blatantly obvious. In a few moments, he had ripped a few stocks of vegetation out of the earth, and quickly swallowed. Though, he only ate a small amount. Eating himself sick would do him more harm than good. He couldn't remember the last time when he was permitted to indulge himself ... so he wanted to make sure and take advantage of it, at the very least. There was a fine line in there somewhere.
When he had eaten enough to chase away the hunger pangs, he straightened his posture. His head still hurt, and he was still dizzy. But his condition had greatly improved. He felt like he could make the journey to a new godforsaken territory. Dimka shook the dust from his pelt before preparing himself to continue. "Well then. Are we leaving, or aren't we?" Once again, his words were probably harsher than they should have been. But either way, it was too late now.

And I'm not afraid of anyone I am sure to win with anyone at all I'm not afraid of anyone Not a soul alive can get behind this wall So let them call And watch them fall ‘Cause after all I'm not afraid Even with all of his beating this stallion didn't act like he had learned a lesson. Riha hadn't planned on punishing him unless he did something horrible, but he needed to know who the boss was. When the back talk started Riha raised her hoof and hit him in the maw. You will not speak to me that way! She glared at him as he stood up to eat. She dropped her gaze from him as he bent his head down. She looked around trying to find a spot for him to rest at for an hour before they headed out. She didn't want to have to deal with him passing out on her before they made it to the land. She wasn't looking at him when he lifted his head so she didn't realize he was ready to be given the next instruction. More back talk flew out of his maw. She spun her neck back around to give him a murderous glare. What did I say about the backtalk? I was going to allow you one hour worth of sleep, but for that remark we are leaving now and you will get to work as soon as we get to the land. She once again raised her hoof and hit him, but this time twice. She turned in the direction of her land and pushed him. Start walking scum.
