She quickly came back with a response. She wanted to explore. He was slightly worried about the foal, but figured she knew her body better then he did. He nodded to her and led her into the small valley. He let her explore each place he showed her. This is the forest, of course. This is where the children play and the mares work. There isn't much food here and no source of water so you must climb the mountain for that. He led her up the mountain. This is my cave. There are many others on this mountain. You can sleep where you choose as long as it isn't one of the other mare's. He took her up just a bit farther on a landing. This is our only food source. It usually grows year round. Some winters there have been an issue with not having much to eat. When that happens we must hunt through the forest for food. The forest is mostly trees and mud, but a few patches of grass litter it. He lead her to the other side of the mountain. This is our only source of water. It comes from somewhere in the mountain. There is a spring over to your left that has water keeping the pond full at all times of the year. It prevents it from freezing also. His land was wonderful. He could have used a bit more grass, but the water system was amazing.

Odessa followed Vald through the land, listening to his every word. She didn't ask any questions or speak; she just listened and studied the land around them. At each place they stopped she looked around at every detail to remember every inch of the Mountain top Heights. It was sparse on grass, that was something she would have to get used to as her old home had been a lush meadow. The water source however, was wonderful. At the highest point they stopped, Odessa looked out and saw a beautiful sight. This was nothing like home, it was better. There the land had been flat, but here she could see everything, it was open and she felt like she could rear and touch the clouds, well almost.
The climb up the mountain had tired her out though. She was glad to have explored her home but now it was starting to catch up with her. This was the first time she had been pregnant and she thought she would know when it was time like her mother had. Odessa's body started to ache as she had the chance to rest now. She felt something off about herself and she didn't know what. She was starting to miss her mother, she would have know what was going on and what to do. She hadn't really let herself morn her mothers death after her sister had been born. She could feel the foal moving around, it was an odd feeling to her. She then turned her head to Vald. I'm glad to have traveled the land, I wouldn't have had time when the foal was born. She said, then she took a deep breath. Speaking of which, Vald. I may have to leave you soon. Her blue orbs gazed at him with a look they had never held before, unsure and slightly frightened. Yes, the big bad Odessa with her queenly demeanor was feeling a bit scared at the thought of giving birth. But this was her first, she had a right to be.

She followed with no questions asked, no comments offered. It looked like she liked his land though. He was proud of it. This belonged to him, just as his mares did. Pride swelled in him. Soon they reached the caves again. Odessa looked tired, her big belly slowing her down. She had grown quickly, but wasn't as big as his other two had been. She probably didn't have twins. He wondered what the gender of their foal was. He was excited. As if on cue his newest mare began to speak. She would have to leave him soon. It was almost time. He smiled at her. When it is time feel free to leave. Foals don't wait for us, we must be ready when they are. Until then would you like to rest? I'm sure the journey and birthing will need you to have a rested body. He lead her into his cave. She could pick her own when she came back with the foal. For now this was convenient.

Odessa followed him into the cave, looking around before turning to look at Vald. Yes, I think I will rest for a while. Her body screamed for her to lay down. At least for a little while. She had been to the foaling grounds only once before. It was when her sister was born. A small foal, only days after her mother had made it back home she died of complications. But Odessa was a strong and healthy mare, she knew she would have little trouble. She found a cool place on the stone floor of the cave and slowly lowered her bodice to the ground. She took a breath, then looked up at Vald. I will get better at this I promise. I hope to have much practice, if you wish many foals from me that is. She smiled at him then, eyes gazing at him with respect and fondness. But her gaze was force from him when a lump on her side appeared then vanished. Oh! She exclaimed in a whisper as she looked at her side. It felt so strange to have something moving inside her. But as she gazed at her side something happened. A small flame was set alight in her heart for the child inside her. She had never felt anything like it before and didn't know what it was. She nuzzled her side as she watch the foal turning and kicking at her. She knew Vald was standing there, but she completely ignored him. She was so enveloped in this moment. Though she didn't know it yet, she was falling in love. Not with Vald, but with the foal, her child. HER child.

He nodded his head in her agreement. He figured she would be tired. It had been a long day. She laid down on the floor quickly. She looked up at him with fondness, hinting that she wanted to carry more foals to him. He would like that and was about to say so when Odessa became otherwise occupied. He watched the wonder in her face as she felt the foal inside of her. He seen this look on his other two mares. This was a defining moment. The way they felt in this moment would determine how they treated the foal after birth. He thought, by the look of her face, that she will be a good mother. She will love her child. He just hoped she would know when to give her up. He laid down close to her. I'm going to rest also. Wake me if you need me. He closed his eyes and fell asleep quickly.

She glanced at him as he laid down, her ears picking up his words. She watched him drift away into dream land deciding to try to sleep as well. Odessa took a deep and calming breath before laying her head down on the cool stone floor. Closing her eyes she tried to sleep, but she couldn't enter a steady slumber. She dipped in and out not really sleeping soundly. She thought she was just too excited to sleep or wasn't tired enough. The foal had stopped kicking and everything was silent around her except for Vald's steady breathing. She groaned softly lifting her crown to look out of the cave. She was starting to feel uncomfortable, she couldn't stay down any longer. She stood up slowly then looked down at Vald before walking to the entrance of the cave. Odessa looked around at the land, she couldn't wait to have her foal and as that though past pain started from her belly. She wasn't sure if this was it but after the second wave of pain she knew she should get to the foaling ground just incase. She turned and looked at her master, Vald? Vald. She called to him hoping he would wake. She needed to go, but didn't want to leave him while he slept.

He was sleeping soundly, unaware of his companion's restlessness. It had been a long day, a long journey home. He was dreaming of a teeming herd with plenty of foals. His would be the biggest herd in the South. His mares would be happy to serve under him. He smiled in his sleep. In his dream his name was being chanted. He soon realized the voice wasn't in his dream, but in real life. He snapped out of his sleep and was on his feet in an instant, fearing another stallion had come on to his land he sped to Odessa at the mouth of his cave. Yes, what is it? He took a quick look around the land, but didn't see anything. He then looked back at Odessa. Her face was pained. It was then he realized it was time for her to foal. His look of worry softened.

Odessa hadn't ment to startle Vald, and though she found his reaction a bit amusing no smile was fond upon her face. She was worried, but she hid any emotion of fear she had. She didn't want him thinking her weak, she was anything but. Though this was her first and she knew after this birth she would be a pro. She looked kindly at Vald, I didn't mean to frighten you but I need to go now. I didn't want to leave with you asleep. Her voice was steady but her body was racked by yet another contraction. I will return when the foal is ready to travel home. She forced a smile then, she knew she could do this alone but if Vald wanted to follow her she wouldn't complain. She turned and walked out of the cave. Stopping to take a deep breath and look back at vald once more before she continued on down the mountain to the breeding grounds. She was leaving this land by herself, but when she returned she wouldn't be alone. She could only hope her foal was strong enough to live in the mountain heights.

She apologized for startling him. He knew his reaction was a bit over the top, but losing his herd was always a fear he had. He didn't fear much, but he didn't want to lose what was his. He worked hard for this land and the inhabitants. He nodded in acceptance of her apology. She quickly told him what he could see on her face. Travel safely. If you would like I will send one of my mares to come assist you in the birthing and walking back. He knew Whisper wouldn't mind leaving her foals for a second to go with Odessa if he asked her to. It was time for them to be up anyway. Whisper could follow Odessa after the foals were fed. He would respect what she wanted though and not force Whisper's help on anyone.

The journey was complete. Odessa had left to give birth to her and Valds foal. Now she was back and with a beautiful filly in tow. She was so proud of her daughter and she hoped Vald would be too. She came into the land through the forest in the valley. She stopped and looked up at the mountain. This is your home Venus. She said as she gazed up hoping to catch a glimpse of her master and the leader of the mountain. She looked down at her filly telling her to follow closely then started up the mountain toward the caves where she had last seen Vald. Keeping an eye on the foal and on the land around her she trekked up and up. When she got to the caves she didn't see him right away. She called out then and waited for Vald to come to her. In the meantime she turned back to her foal nudging her then cleaning her again so she would looked perfect for her father.
(ooc;; You can start playing her now. If you still want to play her. (: )
